About
Built inside a working inspection company.
Inspection Hub IQ did not start as a software idea. It started as a set of tools for the problems of running an inspection business.
Meet the founder
Why I built it
I'm Chip Sprague. I have run the operations of a home inspection company for more than 15 years, and I know how much of the job can get buried in the old way of doing things. Work that should take minutes can take hours or days.
So I built the tools I wished I had: one place to see what is going on, measure how we are doing and hold everyone accountable to their job. The office got a way to handle complaints and the daily details. Inspectors got clear feedback that helps them deliver better inspections and more accurate reports.
When you measure, you improve. Now I am bringing that same hub to other inspection companies through my company, Sprague Designs.

I have run the operations of a home inspection company for more than 15 years, and I wish I had this from day one. I built these tools to make my own job easier. Now I know what is going on every day, and work that used to take me hours or days gets done in minutes. My office handles complaints when they first come in, and we have seen a significant drop in complaints reaching upper management. Our report quality has improved significantly because we can now measure where we are and see how to improve. When you measure, you improve. That is what Inspection Hub IQ does.
Why it exists
Running an inspection company means more than inspections. Someone has to chase the weekly numbers, answer the complaint that landed this morning, grade the calls, train the new hire, check the termite letters and keep the marketing going.
Most of that work lives in spreadsheets, inboxes and the owner's head. So we built tools for it, one job at a time, and put them to work with a real office staff and real inspectors. The goal was simple: help owners and operations leaders run the company more smoothly, track everything and keep everyone accountable.
Now we are rebuilding those tools as a hosted hub so other inspection companies can use them. The hub is not open yet, and that is why you see a waitlist instead of a sign-up.

These tools came from the jobs a working inspection office does each week.
